Credit Card Size High Performance Blackfin® ADSP-BF561 module

Bros. Feb. 8, 2009 – I-SYST is proud to present its new high performance credit card size processor module, the IBF-DSP561 Micromodule. At its hart is the Analog Devices 600MHz dual core Blackfin® BF561. The Blackfin® Processors is a high performance 16-/32-bit embedded processor core with a 10-stage RISC MCU/DSP pipeline, variable length ISA for optimal code density, and full SIMD support with instructions for accelerated video and multimedia processing. It is capable of processing realtime H-264 compression at D1 resolution.

The IBF-DSP561 is designed to serve as a core processing module for OEM consumer and industrial applications requiring highest performance and power efficiency for multi-format audio, video, voice and image processing; multi-mode baseband and packet processing; and real-time security and control processing.

The Blackfin® Processors is fully supported by the embedded µClinux community with full suite of freely available open source software development tools. This opens up an endlest possibility of application development with minimal cost and time to market.
